Being the centre’s Phase III expansion, it will be located at the southern side of CCC

Overview
Key Features of the Garden
The Asian Garden will enhance CCCGT’s existing facilities and serve as a versatile space for festivals, photo sessions, celebrations, cultural events, and social gatherings. Key structures include the elegant Ceremonial Tower, the Atrium, Heritage Hall, three traditional-style Tea Houses, a lush Horticultural Garden and Green House.
Meandering Brook
At the heart of the design is a man-made brook, winding through the garden and connecting its major features. Shallow water flows gently over a riverbed of arranged stones, powered by an energy-efficient pump system to mimic the soothing sound of a natural stream.
Ceremonial Tower
At the core of the Garden, the Ceremonial Tower, a thirty foot tall traditional Chinese pagoda, gazes upon the Celebration Terrace, where music, laughter, and diverse cultures will meet beneath the open sky.
Atrium Inside the Atrium, performances, seminars, workshops, and community gatherings will breathe life into the space.
Heritage Hall
A short walk from the Ceremonial Tower, the Heritage Hall will commemorate key moments in Chinese Canadian history. Exhibits will include a memorial to the Chinese Exclusion Act, tributes to Chinese-Indigenous friendships, the legacy of Chinese railway workers, and the Head Tax redress movement.
Tea Houses
Three Tea Houses will gracefully extend over the brook and a pond, offering a tranquil setting for rest and reflection, with seating areas around the water’s edge. Around the Tea House, renowned poems by literary giants such as Li Bai, Du Fu and Su Dongpo, will be inscribed, offering a cultural experience for literary enthusiasts.
Horticultural Garden and Greenhouse
Designed to showcase seasonal flora and encourage biodiversity, this space will offer exhibitions, workshops, and interactive displays on gardening, pollinators, bonsai design, and more. It will serve both amateur gardeners and environmental researchers, promoting ecological literacy and conservation.
